U.S. to Canada
- Bill of Lading (required at pickup)
- Canada Customs Invoice (required at pickup or through alternate arrangements)
- Commercial Invoice (required in some cases)
- Shipper’s Export Declaration (required in some cases)
- NAFTA Certificate of Origin (required for some goods)
- Import/Export License (required for regulated goods such as alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
A U.S. consignee needs a U.S. customs broker depending on where the freight will clear customs. J.B.M. Logistics is not a customs broker, so we do not provide these services, however we can provide assistance to contact a broker.
U.S. to Canada
The Canadian importer or purchaser must use a Canadian customs broker. The shipper should identify the broker on the bill of lading.
